1. You have no Azureus code in your application.
2. Being named BTPD Front, with the DAEMON abbreviated, the meaning of the daemon in the icon is lost.
I made a quick icon out of some OSS images that I hope you will take the time to consider:
http://sagefire.org/files/btpd-front-icons.zip
You will see that there is a CLI interface with something in FRONT of it. And, the thing in front of it is a downloading widget. Granted, it isn't perfect, but it actually describes your application better than b***-f***ing someone else's icon.

Yours looks like a Terminal.app aid. At a stretch, maybe an icon for Macports or fink. Or a script for wget or curl.

/usr/local/bin/btcli stat -in
into Shell Watcher. A great little widget and it now gives me my btpd status on the dashboard!

(And, thank you for implementing my suggestion.)
Here are two more for you to consider:
1) The only missing feature that I see is the ability to pick individual files inside a torrent to download. Once you have done that, you can do everything that I can ever imagine needing.
2) Have you considered sending that streaming status output to a widget? I put "btcli stat -in -w 5" into WidgetTerm ( http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/18859 ) and find that "cleaner" than starting a new Terminal session like you are doing right now.
this fetures is not supported by the unix daemon, so you must write to btpd coder, http://lists.stargirl.org/listinfo/btpd-users.
2) Have you considered sending that streaming status output to a widget?
mnmm, I'll considering it

With the speed of revisions and bugfixes, adding auto-update functionality looks like a good idea to me.

Awsome bt-client!
The btpdeamon runs nice using next to no resources and the gui is getting better with every release.
Excelent bittorrent-client.
dl link that works for me:

Can you add auto-refresh to the window? It took me a few minutes to realize that things were downloading since there was no update without me clicking.
My first target is a front-end light, not expensive in term of CPU consumption.
I found online a little , efficient daemon; it will be absurd make a weighty front-end.
However the source of the project is downloadable from Sourceforge, anyone can download it and modify it.

Happens in Tiger and in Leopard.
The application worked great, but today, I have this message :
"btpd: You must specify a dotted IPv4 address.n (1)".
PS : excuse m english. I'm french :)

Perl locale errors; btpd-front doesn't use perl and btpd too and its installer doesn't move, replace or update any original system file.

As for the locale problem, it was caused by losing the path setup with a recent fink update.
