GoodbyeHello is a utility for making files and folders invisible or visible. When you drop a file or folder on the app's Finder or Dock icon, or its main window, it will be made invisible. You can also use the File menu commands "Make Files Invisible..." or "Make Folder Invisible..." to make files or folders invisible.

Version 1.0.4:
- The app now has a status window which displays progress. You can drop files onto it to begin processing to make files and folders invisible, as well as onto the app's icon in the Finder or Dock. This window also has a Help button to access information on the app from within the program.
- Using the new status window you can now stop and quit the app processing.
- The log file is now stored in the Limit Point Software folder of your Application Support folder, rather than the Logs folder of your Library, in conformity with Apple Guidelines.

You can rename any file to make it "invisible" to Finder by simple appending a period prefix to the file.
For example:
mv /Users/Carl/Desktop/Document.txt /Users/Carl/Desktop/.Document.text
The mv command in Terminal will move or rename, in this case rename.
It also works with alias files.
And if you want it back, just remove that period!
mv /Users/Carl/Desktop/.Document.txt /Users/Carl/Desktop/Document.text
