Prompt2Txt is a quick and easy way to create .txt files.

You simply enter some text, a file name and choose your location an presto the .txt file is made for you with your desired text and file name. For your convenience, when it is done it asks you if you want to open the file in TextEdit or leave it alone.

What's New

Version 1.1:

version 1.0 simply opened TextEdit with your desired text and file name.
Now it actually creates a .txt file with your desired file name, text and location. It also asks you if you want to open the file now or leave it.

Requirements
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.2 or later.

ummm...this asks you where you want to save the file..just not as a prompt...its all part of the type- your- file- name- and- select- your- location-all-in-one-box.

Ok seems kinda strange that Apple did make it for you to be able to create a txt doc via the contextual menu on the the desktop, but IMHO you don't really need a progy to do this. I just created an plug-in using Automator, it even asks you where you want to save the file.
