user below me doesn't find this widget too useful, and i do. why? because each time i have to restart my computer, almost all of the menu bar items disappear: volume, date, input menu, airport, bluetooth. this widget helps me restore them (except for input menu) in no time.
I don't really see the point of this widget. I mean its not that hard to tell a beginner where they normally live.
I think it would become a little more useful if you could:
1. Actually use each Menu Extra as its full menu (this may require being able to resize the widget window into a vertical or horizontal strip)
2. Turn the icons for each Menu Extra into a button that, when clicked, picks something from one of its menus. For example: My Displays button could be set to "Detect Displays" or it could be "1024 x 768, millions"
3. Have some connection to a Menu Extras website where you can download more Menu Extras.
"Put an alias of the /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/ folder wherever you want or drag that folder to your Dock and you can launch all built-in menu extras"
Put an alias of the /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/ folder wherever you want or drag that folder to your Dock and you can launch all built-in menu extras without having to launch an additional app in the first place...

Or you could just use Menu Butler.
