I'd ike to take this opportunity to thank al of the users of BackityMac, RadiioRocker, DochChanger and VideoVangeist for their patronage. There is a possibility we may open the doors again one day. Until then I've updated all the products to remove all registration requirements and they are all now FREE. Any versions previous to these listed will no longer activate. I have a Mac Mini Intel and a MacBook. I downloaded and paid for the software. Originall it would not restore a previous backup. I reported it to the author and at first he was helpful. However when it did not get fixed, he quit responding to my emails. I downloaded the new version and it gets the applescript 1708 error.
I am running a new 24" iMac with Leopard installed.
I just downloaded the new release, but I am still getting the 1708 AppleScript error upon launching the program. I was reading that this release addressed that, but I guess it did not fix the problem.
Thanks.
The developer seems to have worked everything out, and has a winner!
I wanted this app to work in these most recent versions because of the ease and efficiency of earlier versions. But it wasn't, at least not until this version!
It stalls at backing up an image at 15.99GB... (and indicates 1% complete, on a 'second pass' of the update progress bar). Makes it useless for home directory backup to iPod disk ,for example (what I am trying to do - back to manual directory copy)
Works for minor backups of individual files, but chokes on home folder backup (20GB or more), and required force-quit after command+period failed to cancel stalled process of a backup to an iPod disk. A number of applescript errors appear from time to time, not making me confident that a backup imagefile can be created. Yet to try restore function.
This software worked fine during the first few versions but now I can't get it to make a disk image.
I know we can't place a suffix of the version number on the end of the title and I don't, but, why is this continuing to 'not work.' The website shows no support folder. Any advice is appreciated.
I use BackityMac on a daily basis. Unfortunately, after version 1.3.7, the application fails with an Applescript error "NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4 (1)".

this software exits with Apple Script Error during restore.
:-(
Backup without restore is useless... Can somebody fix this problem, please?
