Track list that you import from iTunes can be arranged in the same order as tracks appear in your iTunes. You need to make sure that in import dialog you arrange tracks in the same way you do this in iTunes, ie arrange by Title, Artist, or Album.
Track list can be easily edited as any other text, simply double click on the text box to start text editing.

Prints directly to DVD with Epson printer, no calibration needed.
Never crashed once, great App.

As for the use of text boxes, I think you haven't really learned the way the program works. The app does not hide any portion of the text that can be fitted on the disc. Unless you set Outer or Inner margins in such a way that Text Wrap causes text to flow down within the text box. These margins can be adjusted from Design Element tab of the Inspector.
It's not clear as well what you mean by not being able to configure text or other default values. Most text settings are accessible from Text tab of the Inspector.

Discus unfortunately remains on a temporary drive only to check 'old' labels...I think next weekend I just trash any and all traces including label!

It's intuitive and I used it several times with satisfaction, and great prints without any problem.
Usually I insert my own imagines, but it is provided with a number of ready to use ones.
