Flash Comet protects the data on your portable 'flash' (USB) drives by making a quick copy to your computer's hard drive every time you insert the drive. This copy will not interfere with the normal operation of the drive, and allows you to always keep a backup of your data in a safe place without requiring tedious manual backups.

What's New

Version 1.0.4: FlashComet will no longer crash on start with a "Nonexistent Child" message for new users. This bug affected anyone who had never installed a CrystalFire Software product or demo before. Please report any additional problems to the developer.

Tried everything with both my flash drives. This thing won't launch no matter what I try? I'm running 10.4.5 on an Emac with tons of memory, and a clean system folder.

I'm not certain I understand why such a product would cost $40. For my flash drives, I use the free (and great) Do Something When to launch the old, freeware version of Synk whenever the flash drive is inserted, and it backs up my files. Works perfectly, and cost nothing.
