As you can read on the Apple homepage this update is just usefull if you have a Powerbook rev. 5,8 (look in your system profiler) or you got a new battery after september 2005.

i think you should use like an iBatt programs for it did any effect or not. I tried but my battery is new and it said "no need to use this" before.

Installed the updater as soon as it came out.

After using the computer for a night, I don't see any difference in the battery performance; it still only has 1.5 hour of juice in it at best.

Does anyone experiecne otherwise?

I installed the update yesterday, but haven't done any battery testing yet. Just unplugged the power chord to test it. I'm also down to an hour and a half of battery time on a year old 15" alibook.

I'll let you know.

No problems, can't really notice if it's working or not, cause I just bought a new battery since my old one couldn't hold a charge for more than an hour and a half. Maybe I could have used this software sooner.
