What's New
Version 2.6.0:
- You can now add native PDF receipts to Home Inventory. The pages of receipts added from a PDF file are no longer converted to bitmapped images as in previous versions.
- A built-in PDF viewer lets you view and print PDF receipts. Support for viewing PDF receipts is also included in version 1.1.0 of the Home Inventory Mobile Backup companion app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
- When adding a new item to a collection using the Home Inventory Photo Remote companion app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, the item is automatically seeded with the default category and location associated with the collection. Home Inventory Photo Remote version 1.4.1 is required for this feature.
- Fixed a bug where barcode lookups were not searching Google Products if an item could not be found on Amazon.

Version 2.4.3 is fully compatible with Lion. We put it through extensive testing before it was released and so far have not had any reports of problems from users. If you are running into an issue with Home Inventory, please contact our support and we will do our best to resolve whatever issues you have encountered.

Nevertheless, Binary Formations (Home Inventory) already has my money. There's no going back; however, so will Minder Software (MyStuff). My hope, my hope is that Binary Formations (Home Inventory) makes the improvements I've mentioned above. I like the product, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will continue to improve on an already great product. 4.5 Stars, but will still test drive MyStuff. Just being honest. Thanks!

More importantly, I've had some time to look over version 2.0 of Home Inventory and I'm VERY impressed! Not only has the developer addressed all my issues with the app, he's addressed some I hadn't even thought of. As a home burglary victim (nearly $30K in unrecoverable jewelry...without insurance riders) I can't begin to tell you how important an app like Home Inventory is. Insurance adjusters have some wiggle room when you're sitting across the desk from them, and if you have all your receipts, a set of pictures, descriptions of each item taken and where it was in your house, or office...you're in a much better bargaining position than without these things.
There is not another app...not one...that even comes close to what I see in version 2.0 of Home Inventory. And from having chatted with the developer in email I can assure you he honesty cares about his application and wants to ensure it is the very best in it's class. I am very impressed with someone who has these goals in a small business and puts them ahead of greed. I would highly recommend v2.0 of Home Inventory.

Based on the various communications I've had with the developer via e-mail in that time, I consider him to be THE MOST responsive and sincere dev I've encountered. He truly cares about this program, and about his customers.
Home Inventory 2 is an awesome achievement. I'm LOVING it!
