New review for new update. 2.6 seems much improved since my last review. The image now updates in size in realtime which is great. Now if it just had a crop tool like EasyCrop, we'd be in business since it's also 4 bucks cheaper than EasyCrop. Also, It'd be great if you could also make images bigger.

But, for now, if you only need to scale images smaller and don't need to crop them, this seems like a great app for that.

Buggy interface with 2.5. I dragged a jpeg into the thumbnail area, selected it and started dragging the window around to resize it, but the image doesn't really update its size in real time like I'd hope it would (and like EasyCrop does) and disappears altogether if I drag the window larger and I'm not sure it even worked because I pretty much gave up. I was hoping this would be a competitor for EasyCrop, but not even close. I hope the developer continues working on this and I'll check it out again down the road. As it is now, I can't really use it. And, it doesn't do cropping which very often goes along with scaling images.

I like the simple interface of Drag-N-Scale, but I use EasyCrop because it scales images visually AND you can crop them as well.

Works great for fast resizing. One added feature request: have the app calculate what the expected file size will be as you are dragging (or, if that's too difficult to program, show the expected file size when dragging/scaling stops).

roro01: ResizeIt and Drag-N-Scale take different approaches to resizing. The main feature of Drag-N-Scale is visual resizing. You don't have to enter any width or height numbers, just resize the window. You don't need to worry about the email feature. There is no fishing going on here although I understand your concern. A future version of Drag-N-Scale will automate this process and use your default mail application.

AVOID THIS APPLICATION!

ResizeIt 2.0.1 size is only 296 KB and it has more features, e.g. saving in different formats, than this application the size of which is about 8 MB. I also didn't like the email feature which require you to put in your mail server details, email address and your password - why that? The email button should simply open your default email application. Something is fishy here.

The email issue you mention has been eliminated. Clicking the email button opens your default email client with the photos attached.

GUFFIN: Drag-N-Scale is programmed not to increase the size of images since doing so would result in pixelation of the image.

The application cannot handle small images. I have a 40x40 image that I want to rescale to 20x20, but the window cannot even get that small. Also, the application cannot increase the size of images.

For large images, from a digital camera for example, Drag-N-Scale works well. Unfortunately, this is not a general use application.

Missspelling in Preferences;

"SMPT Address" should read:
"SMTP Address".

Perhaps;

"SMTP Server Address"

would be better?
