WidgetOrganizer is a program to preview, inspect, modify and remove Widgets already installed in their 'Library' - folders. The software displays all installed widgets in a table-view while detailed informations of the selected Widget are displayed to inspect and, if the widget is writable, to modify, Selected widgets can be viewed in a separate window as preview. In addition the specific appearance, whether in Dashboard or on the screen, can be chosen for active running widgets. Special care is taken to detect and handle "twins', Widgets with the very same identifier in different locations.

Nice little app. A bit cluttered (and the flags are a bit unwiedly) , but feature-rich. Nice job!

Perhaps I just dont' get it. This application does nothing for adding widgets to your permanent widget selection area. So what's the value? 10.4 doesn't remember any widgets that I add...so I'm screwed, this EXTRA widget does nothing to address that problem. Where's the ADD WIDGET button?

Maybe. Widgets are, regardless how they look like, applications. They run a single process like conventional application. The difference, that these programs under the control of Dashboard, not the Finder or the OS.
Mainly what you are asking for is like an 'Add Program' button in Finder, download, uncompress and install an application. Not easily done.
Now Safari does this for you with widgets, and already a lot of people are concerned of this feature, downloading and running an application like opening a webpage.
Remains the value: preview a widget without Dashboard, on-screen widgets easily done, remove widgets without opening /System/Library/Widgets,
relaunching the Dock, twin detection and more?
I think, it is not that bad.

What are the meaning os the colors of the flags?

gray Widget is removed(either in Trash, or as ".*wdgt.bak"
green no keys set
cyan Internet plugins
blue Java used

yellow network,
orange file,
red system,
black full access.

Text: red bold font indicates twin, gray italic removed Widget.

I am sorry about the rush, the next version will get help, but in the case of the new Widgets and the discussions around them, especially their access capabilities, my opinion was ( and still is) to release it anyway.

Ah just what a fellow needs. A little application to manage the applications that connect to the bigger applications that interface with the biggest application in the world called the internet. "All fleas have little fleas upon their backs to bite 'em, and all the fleas have smaller fleas and so ad infinitum." Not fair really, its not a comment on the app really but on upgrades. I don't have 10.4 yet and won't be rushing down the mall to buy. Go ahead, slap my wrist. Sorry Apple.
