Does anyone know how I can access the actual note content without being able to run the app on Lion?
And can someone please develop a similar app that does work with OSX Lion... and maybe the added feature of syncing w/ a service like Simplenote? I'd pay for it.

Sometimes, if I open my side note window, suddenly there ist no content in it. The page is blank and I don“t know why. This is very annoying.

1: note isn't saved unless you choose to or choose another note.
2: Using Slashes in note name is not a good idea as it will reflect in the path
3: I'd really really would love the possibility to make links to other notes (and sort of make a mini-wiki)
5: If there was a possibility to sync with other notes and from there to the iPhone...
4: Other things I've thought about, but mostly i just like having Sidenote on the side of my screen

I would refuse to upgrade OS if it would not be compatible.
I use it with swiping the touch pad (MultiClutch) to open and close it.
Just amazing simplicity & ingenuity.
should be built in Mac OS

If anyone was wondering, as I was, whether sidenote is dead, here's our answer! I'm not sure how the current version works on Snow Leopard, but I guess I'll give it a try.

As far as compatibility with Snow Leopard goes, I've been using Sidenote well before the release of 10.6 and I haven't encountered a single issue.
I love this li'l app. :)

My main goal was to find a drawer staying invisible to store in it SMILEYS to integrate in my mails, and it does the job perfectly, so, even if it wasn't intended as its main purpose it's perfect for me!

For those having trouble using it with Leopard straycat posted a fix on the developer's homepage: http://stashbox.org/217632/sidenote.app.zip
I find that version works absolutely fine for me now as of 10.5.6 (i.e. no strange blue arrows in expose, sidenote slips in and out just by mousing over the screen edge again instead of having to 'select' it from expose etc.)
Still not so good with spaces apparently but as I don't use spaces I don't find that a problem.
now it is the way it should be (IF it keeps the content of my notes safe - in the past sometimes the frontmost note's content was empty after a restart of the computer, i had to restore from time machine, losing always some recent notes. but this hasn't happened for a while - maybe because i use the force-save option always now!?)

I'm in the club having installed Lion and lost my notes. According to posts my notes are not lost but are stored in the following location: Users/Your User Folder/Library/Application Support/Sidenote
I'm not the most tech-savvy guy out there but I'm stumped trying to find this even on my Time Machine back ups. Nor does a search for text files show me any of these lost notes.
Does anyone have any other ideas please?

Even if I haven't found yet a better tool, I start searching... :-/

Other dmg's mount fine on my system, and from the comments I don't see anyone else having this problem. Which strikes me as strange.
