The Lonesome Electric Chicken is a time and life wasting application that spews forth a gathering of quotations. That's it. Don't look any farther into it than that.

Currently there are only about 70 quotes in the chicken pile. These are quotations that appeal to me personally, and may not jive with your own individual tastes. Some folks may enjoy them, others will most assuredly not. The Lonesome Electric Chicken is not intended to be a spiritually or morally uplifting application, although you may find it to be so anyway.

You may bawk, but this app keeps on clucking. The Lonesome Electric Chicken is still running like a headless chicken with 10.6.7 on a 2011 MacBook Pro.

Not even time itself can stop The Lonesome Electric Chicken.

-1/2 star for no other reason than I accidentally clicked that and MacUpdate kept it stuck that way.

Odd, I can't think of anything that changed in 3.1 to cause it to crash under 10.2. But I'll look into it. If anyone can send me a crash log that would be great.

Excellent software! The developer gave me more help and support for this freeware app than most companies give for programs that I pay for. The customizable aspects are awesome and if you get tired of the chicken just play with the font color and display quotes in plain ol' text.

Suggestion:

Allow the use of the "Edit->Copy" menu item so we can copy-and-paste quotes...

The way the program should work, is that it should connect to a remote server to connect to a .txt file to retreive the quote list. This was you never have to update the program to add more quotes. If you make this app in REALbasic, I can help you with this. Just an idea...

Thank you, but no. First, the nature of this application dictates that it should be able to function with or without an internet connection. Second, I already am an experienced RB developer, but moved to Cocoa a long time ago. Your feedback is appreciated, however.
