Impossible, badly readable, unchangeable color combinations. Test version had run after 24 hours.

We use OS X Tiger 10.4.3, we downloaded this only to find it doesn't do anything. We don't know why.

The term "light" is very misleading, if not deceptive. With only 200 items available most of the database is inaccessible, and therefore useless.

Not really free: Only the first 200 food items are shown for free. Also: Calorie index is missing.

If you pay for it:

I still miss a way to list foods by their nutrition values, like putting high-protein on the top or high magnesium. I found no way to effeciently search like that.

Also: There's no need to install data, readme, licence, ... into /Library/Preferences/Datapack. All this could be inside the application or an application folder.

Some optical glitches, too.

This is a nice small data base with regard to looking at one's diet. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in knowing the contents of diverse food items and how this might affect their health. Bravo.

The calculation basis can be choosen in 1g steps. In addition, the food items acceptability will be given with regard to four diseases (obesity, diabetes, gout and heart disease). Upon choosing a food item, a calculation follows showing the percentage share of the daily recommended intake (according to DGE), as well as an appraisal of the food item based on its nutrient concentration.

Moreover, a calculation is given for protein, carbohydrate exchange, magnesium/calcium ratio and natrium/kalium ratio. The macro-nutrient content is shown as a graphic. In the body module, a calculation and rating (shown as a graph) is possible according to BMI, waist-hip ratio, energy requirements and additional needs via sport. In the alcohol module, various drinks are calculated according to their alcohol content.
