Simple AppleScript applet that will empty the Trash with administrator privileges. In order to do that the user has to be an Administrator, or at least listed in /etc/sudoers file.
In case of multiple volumes the user is prompted in order to choose volume(s) to be considered.
This can be very usefull in case of selective deletion or removable media (like pendrives).

Can't make every item of class trash of application "Finder" into type "class trsh"
The program won't execute...I'm in OS X 10.5.6

I downloaded Super Empty Trash 2.3, and it deleted all but one item from the Trash, for some reason, but I was able to delete that in the normal way.
If you have either of these problems, I recommend this App heartily, and with gratitude to its developer, Marco Balestra. The best things are simple, and with few features, this App is no more than it needs to be and easy to use; and because it's free, it's excellent value.

After I spent a lot of time to clean the trash(unsuccessfully) from the old Windows Media Player I found this program and it was a quick magic.
Thank you developer.
This little software delete all the .rsrc files i couldn't do with finder-> Empty Trash.
Thank god this is a freeware too.
It works fine in 10.3.

sudo rm -Rf /Users/username/.Trash/*
If someone wants to never bother to learn the Unix/terminal way to do it, fine. If someone does, that's their choice. (Or Applescript, or Python, or... :)
