iCooked is a GUI for the iCook kernel extension by Patrick Swieskowski (included in package).

iCook is a small OS X kernel extension that allows simple overclocking of the IBM 750FX processor, found in some of the iBooks (600 ... 900 MHz).

i tried this app in my iBook g3 700mhz and had it set to default 466mhz! i,m able to set it back to 700mhz or even overclocked it to 800mhz but the display on About This Mac still said 466mhz. Is there any trick to set it back to previous default value (700mhz) since resetting PRAM did no help? Thx

I wouldn't trust the "About this Mac" number- get another benchmarking program for determining processor speed, there are many free utilities that do this. I wish the author had more information about how safe overclocking is for the G3, and why it might be desireable to do so.
Unless he's selling Intel Macs, in which case it makes perfect sense to unleash this on the masses!!! ;-)
