"Ad free albums
Make your portfolio ad free."
So, the ads may not be in the app itself, but in the albums and galleries that you create.

I think jAlbum's price is more than fair of course. I'm just confused about where the ads are exactly and if I'll have ads in albums that I export.
I haven't had time to look into it since posting my initial comment.

Everybody who wants to publish pictures on his or her web site or burn them on CD for friends or family should give jAlbum a try. Very likely you won't need nor want to use anything else again.
Highly recommended!

JAlbum's greatest strength is the ability to make your own skins. It is completely customizable, flexible and easy to learn if you know HTML. There is also an active user community. Finally, if you ever need to use a PC JAlbum will run on that too.
Instead of trying to fix some of the bugs in the aqua look and feel manually, the developer might be interested in this BSD-licensed project: http://www.randelshofer.ch/quaqua/. Quaqua is an implementation of the Apple HIG and fixes many of the quirks and bugs in the Aqua L&F that come with OS X.
ps. Despite the comment about the lack of icons, OS X application never use icons on buttons and tabs! So I suppose that particular reviewer is the one who is ignorant. The developer should simply strip all icons from the OS X version from now on (instead of wasting the trouble to make OS X- specific icons).
