What's New
Version 2.3 adds the following:
- Integrated with Foto Ensemble.
- We are no longer offering a free 7-day trial, so references to it have been removed from the application. Users who have yet to purchase may try all of the features of Foto Trimmer and will have a watermark placed on their fotos.
- Fixed problem where adjusting fade did not make foto detect that it had changed.
- New Frame panel for adding frames to fotos.
- New E-mail window for e-mailing fotos directly from application.
- New Print window adds flexible, powerful, but easy foto printing.
- What used to be called "frame color" is now called "fill color".
- The format of the preferences file has changed. You will need to reenter any fixed sizes you have previously defined.

What I like is that Foto Trimmer is extremely easy to use: no need to study the handbook, it is very intuitive. Then it is very stable - I use it often every week, and I don't remember that it even once quit. And it has all the basic features which one needs: one can easily change the size of a picture, trim it, etc. - exactly what I need before using a picture on one of my websites.
True, it has a rather plain interface, but it does the job, it does it well, and it does it in an easy way: one does not need to be an expert to use it, unlike some other tools for images. I don't hesitate to give it the highest rate on each category!
(That was a joke people! We really appreciate JFM's kind, unsolicited words. Our main goal with Foto Trimmer is to keep it simple and easy. We're not competing with Photoshop and we're not trying to be all eye candy with no possibility of getting anything done. Glad JFM appreciates the value!!)

If you just want basic options you can even go for QuickImage. Choices gallore, so I would not advise paying for something like this.
Additionally, iPhoto is no longer free; it's a part of the $49 iLife suite. Not everyone is paying $99/year for .mac. And users who would like the same software running on their Mac OS X, Mac OS , and Windows machines can't with the products you mentioned. With Foto Trimmer, they can, and we encourage it.

This is why we offer a 30-day trial (which BTW, Jack Flash did not sign up for so he could not have tried the software, hmmmm...). If users think it's a joke after 30 days, they don't have to buy. If they like it enough to buy, we'll be honored to have them as paying customers.
