While I see no comments or reviews since late 2014, I note that this product's ratings have gone from four to two stars. I think some of this is due to multiple versions and distributions available.
I'm old school. And though I hear 'cron' has been "deprecated," it still works on my Macs running Yosemite. And to provide a visual interface to cron, I recommend the free "Cronnix."
The only shortcoming with Cronnix I can find is that it does not allow for editing the root crontab, but only the user crontab. This isn't an issue for me, as I am the only user, so automated jobs run in my user space, anyway.
If and when Apple chooses to remove cron, I'll have to look to launchctl, but it's more unwieldy than cron, so I am not yet ready to make that move.
