Screenify Studio turns rough screen recordings into polished product demos on Mac. Capture any window, app, or full screen, then stage the recording inside a photo-realistic 3D MacBook or iPhone, direct the shot with hand-crafted cinematic camera motions, layer in on-device captions and annotations, and export a finished video — without leaving the app or shipping a single byte to the cloud.

Recording

• Capture full screen, an individual app window, or a custom region on macOS 13 or later.
• Record system audio and microphone in one pass — no virtual audio drivers like BlackHole or Loopback required.
• Webcam overlay with picture-in-picture, rounded corners, drop shadows, and shape options.
• Floating Speaker Notes / Teleprompter window that never appears in the recording, with global shortcuts to scroll your script even while another app is in focus.
• Pause, resume, and mark moments to cut later, all from a floating recording controller.

Cinematic 3D staging

• Wrap any Mac recording inside a photo-realistic MacBook Pro 16" or MacBook Neo with real perspective, lighting, and reflections.
• Wrap any iPhone recording inside a photo-realistic iPhone 17 Pro Max with selectable finishes and toggleable Dynamic Island cutout.

Camera and lens direction

• Direct the shot with hand-crafted camera motion presets. Mac segments include Hold, Drift, Lid Reveal, Pull Back, Slow Orbit, Turntable, Vertigo, Push In, Crane Up, Reveal, Sway, and Arc. iPhone segments include Hero, Drama, Portrait, Top Down, Hover Spin, Tilt Loop, Reveal, Breathe, Anthem, Clean, Wander, Top Closeup, Bottom Closeup, Vertigo, Turntable, Whip, Pull Back, and Free for manual control.
• Tune every motion with Distance, Speed, and Reach modifiers — the same preset can read calm or kinetic depending on how you dial them in.
• Six preset Camera Angles — Hero, Pillar, Top, Side, Low, Free — plus pitch and yaw sliders for exact framing.
• Real lens controls — Focal Length compresses the background like a telephoto, Aperture blurs the environment for a soft-backdrop look.
• Drag the 3D device directly in the preview to set pitch and yaw by hand; automated motion pauses while you drag, then resumes smoothly when you release.

On-device AI

• AI Captions powered by Whisper, running entirely on Apple Silicon. Word-level karaoke sync. Burn-in or export as SRT.
• AI Background Removal for the webcam track using Apple's Vision framework — no green screen, no cloud upload.
• Smart Clipping scans the recording for silence and dead time, then suggests cuts you can approve in one click or review individually.
• Every AI feature runs locally — recordings of pre-release features, internal admin panels, or customer data never leave the machine.

Annotations, callouts, and privacy

• Drop in text annotations with custom fonts (Georgia, Impact, Courier, and more), callouts that anchor to cursor position, and shape overlays.
• Layer multiple privacy masks at once — blur one area while pixelating another in the same frame.
• Overlapping callouts, annotations, and masks fan out into stacked timeline lanes so each one stays visible and easy to select.
• Newly created annotations briefly highlight and scroll into view so you never lose them on a crowded timeline.

Multi-track timeline editor

• Separate tracks for screen, webcam, system audio, microphone, captions, callouts, annotations, music, zoom keyframes, and device motion.
• Smart Timeline mode collapses inactive tracks into slim bars so the whole timeline fits on screen; the track you're editing stays full-size. Hover any track to peek it open, or pin it to keep it expanded.
• Multi-select segments with Cmd-click, Shift-click, or marquee drag, then delete or move them in one undoable step.
• Soft flowing audio waveform on the video track that fills the track height and is easier on the eyes.
• Timeline segment labels read out the chosen camera motion (Lid Reveal, Pull Back, Vertigo) with speed and transition suffixes so the timeline tells you what each segment does at a glance.

Export

• Hardware-accelerated Metal GPU export. Most renders finish in seconds.
• Export HEVC or H.264 in any common resolution and aspect ratio, including vertical and square formats for social.
• Per-export styling — wallpapers, padding, rounded corners, aspect ratios, device frames, watermarks, and music — applied at export time without modifying the original recording.
• Exported annotations use the exact font you picked in the editor.

Command-line interface

• The screenify command-line tool records and exports finished videos straight from the terminal, without opening the app window. Turn it on in Settings → Command Line.
• Built so AI agents can drive it — ask Claude Code in plain language to record a demo and produce a finished clip, and it runs the whole pipeline for you. A bundled skill makes Claude Code aware of Screenify automatically; any agent or script that can run a command works too.
• Apply the same styling — wallpapers, padding, rounded corners, aspect ratios, device frames, watermarks, music — as one-line flags.
• Ready for automation — generate styled recordings from a script, capture UI demos in a build pipeline, or attach a fresh repro video to every bug report, fully hands-off.

Apple Silicon and privacy

• Native Apple Silicon binary. Captions, Smart Auto-Zoom, background removal, and Smart Clipping all run on-device via the Neural Engine and Core ML.
• Local-first by default — recordings stay on your Mac, cloud upload is opt-in per file, nothing auto-syncs.
• Compact install — about 91 MB download, with higher-resolution environments downloading lazily on first use.

Import and interop

• Import MOV, MP4, and most common video formats directly into the timeline editor.
• Export captions as SRT for use in YouTube, Vimeo, or any player that supports the format.
