Not bad for the price. Good start. They seem to be actively improving the application. Doesn’t get in the way of creating maps too much. Could use a few more features such as more ways to attach linked arrows. Convenient enough to use. It isn’t the most direct of the cheap mind map/charting apps, but close & some of those barely have options at all. Exports as OPML, so you can drop it into outliners & notebooks which read OPML, such as OmniOutliner, CP Notebook.

Nice, elegant & clean. Would like to see more frequent updates, features, colour schemes (themes), more fonts, more moods, more music, etc. Now my preferred mind mapping program (third one in fact).

I like to use Omni Graffle. But this is simple and elegant.

This was a very nice app and easy to use, and the results looked great. Unfortunately Delineato has disappeared from the Mac App Store (U.S. version)

Oh yeah - and you can drop it into MindNode as well - to get a chart in that application. Delineato doesn’t IMPORT OPML, however.

Delineato is pretty good for this price! The developers seem dedicated to improving it. It does a lot of things in the latest version that are fairly elegant, yet don't get in the way of the thought process overmuch. Its missing copy & paste formatting & the printing isn't quite as useful as it ought to be. Delineato Pro worth a hardy test drive & its even worth the gamble of $7 untested!

Update: A really nice responsive app for the money. Crisp. You can blaze away creating mind maps. It exports OPML, though does not IMPORT OPML, however. As of rev 1.2.1: It has alignment of boxes. Only annoyance there is that apparently the newest box selected is the placement guide when aligning. It still needs a lock-in-position & real grid option, or some type of guides ala Photoshop guides. The connection lines can be curved or with a right angle corner. Their attachments are however limited, which is fine when you are creating a map, but not as pretty for the finished product. The ease-of-use & speed make up for its shortcomings.
