This is one of the most enjoyable Mac programs I've ever purchased. I've owned both version 1 and 2. The program makes designing room layouts exceptionally easy. Click the wall tool, click 4 times (the four corners), and you have a room. Click another button and you see it in 3D. Adding doors or windows is as simple as dragging the item from a shelf and dropping it on the wall where it should be. I've used this program for determining if new furniture would fit in my apartment or in a moving van, laying out some friends' entire house (during construction) to help them choose things like floors, cabinets, countertops, and for helping design an in-house theater room with raised seating on the second row. I could go on and on about the great features, but here are 3 examples. You have a PDF of the floor-plans to your home. Drop it into LI3D and draw your walls on top; you're done! Or you want to add your real wall decorations (paintings, photos) to your model, so you take a digital photo and import it into the program. And my favorite, you can find new objects to import in the Google 3D warehouse: plants, chairs, electronics, your car to put in the garage, and those are all free. This program shines in how quickly you can get 80% of your modeling done. It's fast. The 20% that is slow is the fine-tuning of the details: wall color, crown molding, and baseboards, for example. But if you take the time you can create models which are surprisingly realistic, especially for an $80 program.

I noticed this company is starting to hide updates like Adobe and Microsoft. This is a bad sign which may lead to the company developing the same practices as Adobe and Microsoft. Companies like this drift away from good customer service slowly. They may have changed management or been sold but I think this is just the beginning of a slide down hill.

Interesting upgrade pricing. Just asked on the BeLight website for the upgrade price from Live Interior Pro to the replacement Live Home Pro and was quoted $49.99, which is the same price as currently available on the MAS. Following the website purchase process the price for the UK ended up as £47.82 (inc 20% VAT) but the MAS price shows £39.99. Looking at the pricing history of the previous version (on the MAS), there will be probably be plenty of opportunities to upgrade at the current price in the future. HTH

Had this product quite a while ago. It may have been the Pro version. Found the updates to costly so switched to open source Sweet Home 3D which is free other than a optional donation and haven't looked back. I find it interesting that the opposite version of Live Interior (Pro or Std) have the most votes for similar software. That wouldn't suggest that employees, friends or relatives of the employees are padding the votes to entice readers to purchase their products, would it? Just observing -:).

Upgraded from Standard to Pro today. I should definitely check, maybe I have relatives there :) Btw, nice program and guys from BeLight offered an upgrade at the discounted price. I just do not understand, you bought Pro version for about 100$ and decided to opt for free Sweet Home just because an upgrade to the version you ALREADY have was too expensive? Where is the logic?
