Can anyone please confirm (or not) whether 11.1.3 re-enables the 'Info' tab and local syncing without iCloudiness on Mavericks? This new 'feature' is a nonstarter for me – I am back to ML.

I have one negative confirmation from Apple discussion forum and one possibly positive from 06th nov. – not terribly reassuring yet.

The comment from @Forn is equivocal/can be interpreted both ways. It is unclear if a joyous smile or smirk of sarcasm was the accompaniment there. It seems that ML is latest, securest OS. I have already voiced my concerns to Apple Support.

"We have tested against the latest developer releases of OS X 10.9 and are ensuring that Flash Player continues to perform as expected."

This does not bode well . . . Judging from the general tone of comments here (and elsewhere) there is a vast gulf between what we have come to expect from Flash and what we might wish and hope for . . .

This extension breaks all my other extensions on Safari 5.1.7 OS10.6.8. It is of dubious value in any case as the full CS app does not perform as it is billed. I rely upon Cookies 3.0.6 instead and it costs only half as much to boot.

Re: 'crisp responsivness' and 'snappiness' . . . I have found a similar change after applying the 2012-001 Security Update to my OSX10.6.8 system. I suppose they also clean up some other code while fixing a security risk . . . and why not?

Gee Whiz! Compadres your systems must be seriously screwed up. I upgraded on 10.6.8 Core i7 and it's all smiles here. Silky smooth and fast like Firefox. Only thing I can quibble about is I still get Google cookies even though 'Block Cookies - Always' is checked. Also it seems that I cannot save a .pdf right from the Safari contextual menu but I suspect that is a shortcoming of the Acrobat plug-in only.
