I use Onyx since the beginnings and it saved my computer's life many times.
But since I use the last version of Mountain Lion with the last version of Onyx, the miracle doesn't happen any more.
I had to reinstall twice Mountain Lion after having used Onyx :
- hectic folder appearance
- terrible slowing down
- strange menubar behaviour
After reinstalling the system, everything is back.
So, I will avoid using and recommending Onyx until a thorough revision comes out (may be with Maverick)

Yes ! they say that Shape Collage is free, but as soon as you launch it you discover that you must buy it (30 $) to get the full product : no watermark, possibility to save psd files...

Not nice !

Yes I agree with many comments here.

GC is, with photoshop, the greatest image treatment app in the whole world (I don't know if there is anything like it on pc's).

Yes, the app is ageing and looses its glamour and elegance into more and more complex functions I simply don't understand how to use (the 350 pages of manual is of little help)

But it is thousand times better than any other IPhoto or other dirty apps that spoil our computers.

It needs revamping, clean up, modernising, simple help.

The slide viewer is one of the best since it offers random viewing, size adaptation, music and so on.

The only problem is when you try sophisticated features (so sophisticated !!!!) you never know what xill happen, why it did not do what you expected...

I think that it would be a real good surprise if GC came back with a real up to date appearance and structure, more intuitive, more user friendly, better structured, cleaned up, clearly sorting very expert functions and everyday features.
