I'm surprised nobody has reviewed this yet - presumably because nobody pays for image viewers! I admit I was skeptical myself, but after using it for a while, going back to a viewer that doesn't remember how I viewed images just feels wrong.

Admittedly, if you're the sort of person who always edits their images straight away, then this won't interest you. But if like me, you have a lot of images, and just like being able to quickly zoom into them, or crop them, and have them displayed the same way next time - well that's what it does. And it does it quickly, and (so far) reliably.

In other respects it's a lot like JustLooking, which I also like. Though it has better tools for moving images etc, and it looks to be under active development, whereas JustLooking seems to be JustStayingTheSame!

I was looking for a replacement for the windows program Irfanview, and I think this is it. It doesn't have remotely as many features, but then I hardly used any of them anyway! For simple image viewing it has almost all I want. I also like Xee, but the thumbnail view makes this better.

I agree with other reviewers that a few simple additions would really be nice, like hand tool for moving images, but it's a minor quibble, everything you really need is here and nicely implemented.

This is one of the most useful free applications I know of. Provides everything I need for editing audio. (Although I can't speak for the Lion version that some people seem to be complaining about).

I really don't understand the people who complain about the interface. I can only assume that either they haven't read the documentation, which - unlike most free software - is thorough and clear, or else they are obsessed with things looking "Mac-like" in which case I have to say - get over it! It's only "skin deep" you know! It's a tool not a decoration, and I know of nothing better for editing audio.
