First, the new interface is not to bad. Now you can see the complete report (and not only a few chars of a lenghly field), finally.

But they seem to be a major bug in the file type recognition: If I want to analyze mkv or wmv files, the program says "The document “xyz.mkv” could not be opened. Media Inspector cannot open files in the “Anything” format." This is a no-go for such a program, both formats are really common. (They are even problems with avi files).

Furthermore, the services menu item doesn't work anymore.

At last, since some update of 1.x the analysis of an avi file is reeeeeeaaaallly slow (does he read the complete file??). Unfortunately this is also not fixed in the current version. Please provide a way to just don't do these lenghtly analysis, instead of trying to improve the performance over theading and such things.

It would be cool if you could address the mentioned issues. If you need additional information, feel free to ask.

OK, I just saw that the problem with "cannot open that file" occurs only when you drop the file onto the application icon.

And furthermore, I want to mention that the window which appears at click on raw report, should be modifiable (resizable), also to ensure that the windows do not overlap if you have 2 media items in the list and activate the raw report of both of them. So, the comarison possibilities of two reports would become better.
