I have a Mid-2012 13" Macbook Pro. Running v2.3... I don't know if this is by default but I had assumed that the Minimum RPM is the lowest setting it will use and increase fan speed when the CPU/GPU starts to heat up.

I just did a quick test using Handbrake to convert a small video. The CPU/GPU was all the way to 79C/102C respectively and it was sitting at my minimum setting fro 5mins until I pushed it to my other setting profile which pushes the fan to 6200RPM.

My question is, am I always have to monitor my CPU/GPU Temp and MANUALLY move the Fan RPM? Or does your App actually supposed to increase fan speed as CPU/GPU load increases?
