Update to previous review:

I now have Snapz Pro X working in 10.8.2 and it works very well. I've used it to record video and the results are surprisingly good, high quality .movs. The trick to getting it to work is to remove all third party Quicktime components. I guess you can then replace them one by one to identify the problem component, but I've discovered I can still play movies without them so haven't bothered.

Bought the bundle because of this app. But am starting to wonder whether it was worth it - set it up, recorded a screen video and got resulting .rvid file. But now the app has gone AWOL. The app is supposed to hide in the background, I think, but no matter what I do I cannot coax it back to visible. Opening the .rvid file gives a momentary .mov file which soon disappears as well. Confusing and frustrating. My rating is a 50/50 - I will come back and rate properly if I get it working.

If you 'Show Develop menu in menu bar' in Safari > Preferences > Advanced you can easily open the same page in another browser. Firefox has a plugin called 'Open With' which does the same thing

recent new lease of life put camino back on my mac and even in the dock - for some reason it always worked on some sites which others really struggled with. but something's really wrong with 2.1 (even the core2duo specific builds) as it can't get itself going even on google. despite this am happy camino's back and have i faith that the dev will fix all. (ignore my rating as firefox was playing up)

I am on the verge of dumping this - it has become so unpredictable that I find myself checking it's going to remember a password at all, let alone let me access them. I've dumped favourite older browsers that are no longer supported based on the previous excellence of this app. But I'm starting to wonder why. I understand the dev has to move in step with Apple but it's a real shame it's changed to such a degree 'cos it was a killer.
