Very good tool for a simple cal.

Would be perfect if user can show the cal with hotkey.

I've tried to use omnigraffle on an on & off basis. I use it to plan the layout of our production facility.

Reason is that most people in my company uses windows visio, and when convert files from visio to graffle, I can never get the dimension to display properly.

Graffle still lacks the ability to properly lay down the dimension lines for object that I created. I can see that Graffle is an excellent software but without a complete dimension tools I still need to go back to my PC.

Large plant layout (20MB+ for my case), includes machinery, power lines, etc is almost unusable due to performance issue. Omni recognize this problem (see their website) but it must be solved before I can really put it into use.

The performance problem is when you drag a group of object (complex ones) that the software takes forever (sometimes 3 min) to complete the process, during this time, if you move the cursor it will take another 3min longer. Sounds crazy I know.

Hopefully, Omni will fix this soon, other then this, it is an great product and can easily beat similar software on any platform.

Not a single reply from the developer.

My Chinese input problem is still there, I tried using an Open sourced IM called "OpenVanilla" but still doesn't work.

I have to come to the consclusion that to the Chinese market, this software is useless.

Will, nothing is perfect....

This app uses quite a bit of memory, maybe that is why it is fast.

I used app called MemoryStick to show my current memory status, and while using PS it is consuming every possible memory on my system.

For me this is ok, because when I browse photo, I like to see it quickly.

The fastest image viewer on Mac.

Compared to FFView, Comicbooklover, Preview, JView.

This is perfect for people who keeps pictures in simple directory structure and want to move within a large set of photo quickly.

If PS provide the feature to show only one thumbnail instead of the whole directory, it will be even faster.

Speed of displaying photos on my USB connected HD is just as fast as the ACDSee version on my PC.

Good Work

Chinese input doesn't work in 5.x and now the 6.0 beta 3 doesn't do it either.

In RT 5.x, you cannot type Chinese at all, simply won't accept it.

In RT 6.0 beta 3, you can type chinese after pressing the 'Enter' key, but if you want to select a character from the OSX IM dropdown list with the arrow key, nothing happens, so you cannot select the right character from the IM dropdown menu.

I've emailed Ragtime just now and lets see what they say about this.

Without the input problem solved, I cann use this software at all.

I will post review once this is solved.

Few things worth mentioning about this software:

Good:

1. This is a very nice email client, featrue is very complete. Interface (even though it is not coca), workes very well for me.

2. Extension system worked out quite well, I've installed half a dozen extension already, and features such as auto image zoom, header display hotkey, Maximize message pane, remove duplicate worked out very nicely.

3. Editor for writting email is quite good, table, outline numbering etc works well.

4. Free

5. I have roughly 1.2GB of mails in total, 1500+ messages and the speed is adequate, faster then Apple Mail.

6. Search within pre-defined is very, very fast.

Bad:

1. I can create email template, but cannot effectively use it with reply, forward, redirect functions. In TB, you cannot specify which template to use for certain action, so I don't use template at all. Default template is what I have to live with now. And it cannot be edited from the TB software directly.

2. Address Book is the worst I've seen, feature wise is actually very complete, but TB address book is totally isolated from the rest of the Mac world. ldif file for transfer is not effective with Chinese characters. Previous post spoke enough about this shortcomings.

3. Message filter cannot use script

4. Help is offered thru web, forum etc. But the forum is so tangle up with all the other Mozilla projects, very difficult to navigate inside to find what you need.

5. Search within message body is very slow, I cannot compare with Mail but both are slow. Try to search using pre-defined fields such as TO, FROM, etc. whenever possible.

6. There isn't a proper vcalender support, Mail does this nicely and I can get the vcalender file created on Outlook PC direcly into ical. TB shows the file in plain text, I need to copy it to another word processor, save it as UTF-8 plain text, under the file extension .ics then double click it to get it into iCal. (typing the schedule directly in iCal is faster)

7. Calender extension in TB is not updated so I cannot use it with TB 1.5rc2. Mozilla SunBird doesn't has the same problem as iCal, so no help there.

8. iCal schedule cannot be sent directly using TB, as matter of fact, iCal can only send using Apple Mail. Not the problem of TB but this shoudl be the problem of Apple iCal. The default mail program is simply ignored by iCal.

Having said all that, I've switched from Mail to TB week ago. The reason is that I got the disappearing message problem back (yes, it happened before) and I am starting to get duplicates messages.

This time, I cannot fix the problem with Mail using the old method and I don't want to spend my time again to find out how to solve this.

If you are looking for Apple Mail alternative, give this a try, address book is a big killer here but fortunately, TB remembers the address you type, do an initial import of your current address book, and after a week of using it, I can live with it.

Is there a way to search using asia language characters? Such as Traditional/Simplified Chinese.

When I switch to using Chinese input, launchbar doesn't seem to respond with any keystroke.

Only English is working on mine.
