I recently gave up on snippets (the app) and wanted to find a new snippet manager. Looking at 3 or 4 I thought codebox best.

It's a nice effective app that does the "basic job". For that it deserves 4 stars. The extra features that could make it a 5 star app are in the app, but are really really "rough". Having absolutely no documentation doesn't help.

If the developer can bring it together soon, it will be a 5 star.

Be careful - they are still selling "v1" at US $20 and no where do I see anything telling the buyer it is essentially no longer supported.

"Version 2" is a very immature release. Absolutely not ready for production.

I really like the app. I mean - I paid full price for it. But I would steer clear for now. I gave up on these guys and bought CodeBox, which I very much like.

This has few features, which i consider a good thing. Whatever happened to the idea of an app doing one things extremely well?

I marked features as a "3" because it doesn't have many, but to me, that is not a bad thing.

And I don't need EVREY single application I use to do some "social media" thing. Maybe I just want to listen to some music?

I tried doubetwist repeatedly over 3 or 4 months. It seems to do everything EXCEPT properly sync music my Droid X.

I only need to update once a month or so. The free version is (intentionally) slow, and would fine for me. But I'm so happy with it I may buy the full version just to show the developer some love.

Great utility. Works exactly as it says, providing utility Apple should have included. For me, hourly backups are annoying and don't fit my usage patterns. I use TME to set backups twice a day (3am and 1pm).

Reminder: when installing an OS update time machine will revert back to hourly backups. Just fire up TME and it will ask if you want to restore your previous settings. Nice!

Big thanks to the developer.
