Awful software from an awful company. MacKeeper itself is a virus, hogging your CPU for apparent checks and scans. Pretty much every review that's not made by astroturfers slates this terrible software for it's expensive and low quality features, terrible support and difficulty to uninstall.

The rating here is completely false. So MacUpdate, when are you going to delete all the 30 or so paid ratings/reviews that are curiously all dated the 7th March '12, by users who have been members since... 7th March '12, giving this malware a false higher overall rating? Take some responsibility for the credibility of your own site will you?

I read the comment from Joel, but it still doesn't detract from the fact the reviews were all on the same day, by users who signed up on that day and never came back again. It's easy to fake IP addresses, proxy anyone?

1.0 was great, reliable, efficient and fast.

1.1 is awful. It uses 15-20% more CPU on my Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro, and it crashes Quicktime player every 30 mins or so... Stick to 1.0.

I see, it did seem to have no quality control, which I must say i was surprised at! But as it's Quicktime screwing things over, hopefully it's just an API change or two to fix things :)

Thanks for the great software, don't know what i'd do without it.
