It's all well and good to respond to these types of reviews clarifying that there was no relationship between Koingo and MacUpdate wherein the licenses are valid.

That being said, people are angry at you and your response to these reviews uses an angry, negative voice that isn't endearing yourselves to the people you'd like to be selling your software to.

Look at it this way: If MacUpdate indeed had no relationship with you and no permission to sell this software then they just got railroaded and you've added the insult of a hostile sounding, and repeated message to the reviews for your product to the injury of revoking their licenses without prior notice.

The end result is that instead of humanizing yourselves by publicly apologizing for the inconvenience and offering an alternative (this should ALWAYS be the way your responses to these reviews should sound) you've taken a hostile and angry position which turns MacUpdate into a villain and throws the users who purchased the bundle into the same cell.

Hell! I purchased the bundle containing MacCleanse 3 and Data Guardian and I NEVER got any email regarding a discount of any kind.

Because your public relations voice is such and because you've poorly communicated and responded with a hostile, and grammatically questionable canned response I'm with MacUpdate:

Get TrueCrypt. It's free. It uses AES, Serpent and TwoFish and it's endorsed by Steve Gibson.
