Developers of this type of Game - Shanghai - always seem keen to mislead potential players that they've actually created a version of Mahjongg. If this were Mahjongg I'd buy it - it isn't.

Is the developer dishonest, or does he really not know what Mahjongg is?

The twist being that the only thing it has in common with real mahjongg is the use of tiles with pictures on?

This is nothing like Mahjongg.

Possibly the author is thinking of Shanghi? But that is certainly not the most popular game in asia. Neither is this.
