Just a FYI about this app:
The list it provides includes arp cache entries. This is a bad idea, because it will show no longer available devices. If you use this app, clear the arp cache before (sudo arp -a -d) "scanning". It gets even worse, if you did a broadcast ping before.. Also lacks the possibility to chose the interface to scan. If you have several interfaces up (incl. VPN and such), it's kinda random which interface the apps scans.
So, well, a nice entry-level tool to make a fast scan, but beware of ghostly arp-entries.

Nice one to do a simple one-time backup. But unreliable if running as a cron job. Crashed many time on 10.9.2 filling up the backupdrive with several incomplete backups. Need to control itself better in case of a crash and complete backups or delete incomplete backup.

Short review of the demo version.
I was always looking for a simple network mapping tool for OS X. Apps like OmniGraffle can be used to draw network maps, but have no discovering tools. Free tools like LanScan provide a useful short list of devices, but have no mapping. The Dude (Mikrotik) runs on Windows only. Solarwinds Network Topology Mapper or Intermapper cost much money.
So Spot Maps sounds promising - but:
- autodiscover didn't find all devices
- no MAC to manufacter database, even free tools have this
- no support for Visio stencils - a must for such a program
- no auto-map tool, a scan will give you a simple list and you drag and drop the results to a map
- only basic routing for the graphical interconnects (no corners etc.).
- crashed two times
So well, it's a start - but it is yet no alternative to other programs. May be usefull for very small companies with small networks, but the lack of support for vss makes it a no-go for me.

QQ 1.4 is out, with cross platform video. Beware, a Windows version on the other side must be also recent, otherwise video chats don't work.

Great for a free software. Did what I wanted (check approx. 40k pictures in several folders knowing that there are about 50% dupes). Takes its time and the UI is a bit spooky, but simply works.

This oooold version still runs on 10.6.7 and rarely crashed over the past 8 years..
There is a new official Mac-version based on Adobe AIR, but it doesn't import my old databases (history), so I keep up using this old one for now. The old version has_no_ gimmicks at all, it is a straight text-based messenger and that's what I want. No web 2.0 fuzz, no multi-feature bastard. That's why I was never jealous about the "feature-rich" Windows version..

Well, another kid game - made with Flash. Nothing new, nothing nice, quite primitive shapes and graphics. The obligatory puzzle is - guess what - the USA, and instead of an icon the kid has to klick on "quit". The free GCompris (Linux) is far better, don't let your kid waste his/her time with this one here.

The fix is an "official" fix though still pre-release.
Works fine, no problems with 10.6.4 so far. Best add-on for Mail, Apple should simply buy and include it into Mail.

My older version (Macupdate bundle) checked for updates and installed version 5 without having a key - and made my old data unusable.
I now kicked the app from my drive.

Very nice tool for anyone who needs to read Chinese characters. Was looking for that for years now. Many Thanks! Feature request: Add the free chinese-english CEDict for single words.

The new version (3.0b5) has a bad bug - it's NOT universal. The main binary is intel only (OpenVPN 2.0.9 i386-apple-darwin8.10.1), so it won't run on PPC machines. I was able to "fix" it by using the macports binary. Hope they will fix that soon.
