Previous versions of Playback that work on previous versions of Mac OS X are still on our download page (right column).

Please check it out; I'm sure you'll find the appropriate version for your setup.

Thank you.

It has been clearly stated on our website that SD is NOT officially supported under Mountain Lion.

http://yazsoft.com/products/speed-download/downloads/

Yet in our (and many users) unofficial usafe, it still seems to work fine. So a lot of users do still benefit from it, esp. those that don't necessarily always update to the latest version of Mac OS X. There is no false advertising or facts posted on our website. If SD does not work for you, then simply don't use it. No one is forcing you to.

Thank you for your understanding.

Further, SD has always been available as a FREE DEMO for anyone to try out BEFORE purchase. If it app doesn't work for you, DON'T buy it.

Thank you once again for your understanding.

While is may work fine, SD is NOT officially supported in Mountain Lion or later. TRY it out for FREE FIRST before deciding on whether you want to keep it or not.

This is a brilliant idea! A big thanks to the developer for taking the time to put something like this together. Most people don't realize how much they take things for granted while still in good health. Keep up the great work guys!

I don't really see anything retina optimized on my MacBook Pro Retina Display after applying this update. Looks just as fuzzy as before. Am I missing something?

OK, turns out it wasn't just me. There may be a caching issue that causes the retina changes NOT to show. Here's how to fix them:

This is what you wrote:

"For over a YEAR I had trouble getting Safari and Firefox to directly download files from
certain sites. It was absolutely mystifying. Then last week I read an obscure post that pointed toward the possibility that Speed Download was the culprit."

I'm not sure what it is that I missed.
