Thompson's tool has evolved into quite a batch of tools, the front being the ability to create other docks. You can make as many as you want ,all looking different, as large or small and they can appear for different tasks. I have used this tool for many years and have never regretted the price paid.
Recently I had begun to consider getting rid of it in light of mission control, but after trying to set up all the software I use into workable groups I gave up and made a few new docks - so much easier! I'm glad James made the update so it could continue into Mavericks.
I don't play with my Macs, I work with them and any tool that is about as "set it and forget it" that helps take out wasted time this is definitely one of them. There are a few pieces of shareware I would never do without and this is in the top 5 IMHO.

It's hard to trust a piece of system software when there's not even a web page of info to view, or a screen shot - too suspicious, like's it's a sucker-punch waiting to happen.

I wrote the webmaster at good-day.net about the empty folder, and he replied almost immediately, fixing the problem (server must have needed some encouragement) and posting the link so I could get it. The folder is back online for those who would like to download the PPC version (or for Intels too).

Thanks to Takeshi Abe and good-day!
