I work with Finale a lot, a very powerful but complex program for typesetting and generating sheet music. If you are a keyboard player -- which I am not -- you can play notes into the score with a midi keyboard. But the rest of us have to enter notes manually either from palettes or the computer keyboard. Now if you are entering chords with actual notes -- as opposed to just chord symbols -- this is a very tedious process that requires multiple keystrokes. But with iKey it is a breeze. You just make your macro, press the trigger, and watch the notes appear as if by magic! iKey has greatly increased my Finale productivity. It is easy to use, and at this point, I wonder how I ever got along without it.
