This is by far the most useful application I have run across this year (2013). It's fairly small (< 8 Mb) and unobtrusive.

When I launch Beamer, if finds my AppleTV in short order, and let's me know it's connected. I don't have to mess with any type of network connections or the like.

Then I drop a movie or video clip (usually a MP4) on to the Beamer window, and after a short pause, the movies shows up on my Plasma TV.

I do a lot of work where we create PowerPoint presentations and convert them into movies for training purposes. With Beamer, we can see how well the training video plays on 'the big screen'.

To put it simply, it just works, and works well.

It was bad enough when an earlier update of iTunes subjected everyone to a second window to moniter the download process. Now updating Apps is a convoluted nightmare with clown like icons of each Apps to be updated. It's now necessary to click on each icon to find information about the update (speciffically size, which information isn't always available).

Get a grip Apple, bring back the list option, and let me display information they way I want/need it. Not the way you think I should.

I've been using this Widget for quite some time now. It's extremely useful for tracking package status, especially when dealing with multiple vendors and/or shippers. Sort of one-stop shopping.

My only complaint is with those SmartPost packages where FedEx hands off the package to USPS for the final delivery. The information on that last leg is rarely available, accurate, or current. This has more to do with the postal service than the Widget itself.

One great feature of the application is that by clicking on the shipment, it takes you directly to the shopper's web site for additional information.

A word of caution based on my recent experience. I've been using a Canon MF4200 series on my MacBookPro with system 10.6.8 since forever. The Canon Mac URFII driver is required to make this multifunction printer work. And it does, quite nicely. I've always downloaded the updated Apple Canon drivers if for no other reason than to have the latest & greatest. I've never experienced a problem until Apple Canon update 2.10. With this update, I'm able to print once from any appliation like Safari or Word or Preview, then the application becomes non-responsive. Relaunching the application and attempting to print only locks up the application again. I have to restart the Mac, relaunch the application, then print. Once. Otherwise the application will become non-responsive trying to print a second time. I've given this update a low rating because, for me, it's problematic.

I wrote that the recent 10.6.8 security update appears to have disabled certain Apple Mail 4.6 bundles, including MailTabs and WideMail. And I do miss WideMail!

Misha replied that this utility would address that particular problem, and it sure as heck did. Thanks ever so!!!

Application works on AppleTV as described. Installation video is somewhat helpful, but on a Mac forum it might have been more appropriate to run the tethered boot install on a Mac as opposed to a PC.

One word of caution on the current version (0.7.9). Losing power to the AppleTV for any reason will necessate a re-jailbreaking if you chose the tether boot process.

Question: Apple today (12/15/11) released AppleTV 4.4.4. Any know or have direct experience with this update and Seas0npass?

One of THE best free applications I have ever downloaded from the App Store. Been using it for a number of months now, with no problems. I tend to take a number of screen prints during the work day and also download numerous research documents to the desktop. DeskToday lets me dump all that 'clutter' into a dated folder with a simple 'click'. So next week when I'm looking for a file I acquired the week before, it's all nice and neealy stored in a dated folder. Drag the DeskToday Folder to the Finder sidebar, and everythings nice and handy. It's a must have!

This developer seems to know what he's doing and is very responsive. And here's why: On 8/11/11, I downloaded vuescan to try with a Canon MF4270. While Mac compatable, scanning with this multifunction device is PC only. Right off, vuescan completed a prescan without a hitch. Unfortunately, the printer and application locked up when initializing a scan. I wrote Ed, attached a screen print and the vuescan.log file, along with a request for help. Four days later I had a response from Ed which included a test version of the software to address this concern. Installed the test verson, and my Canon now prescans and scans without a hitch. Kudos, Ed for a job well done!
