Since I had to search for them, here the release notes from the help menu inside of the application:

Version 4.7.1

NEW: EasyFind adapted to the requirements of the Mac App Store.
NEW: 32/64-Bit Universal application.
Improved: Boolean+Wildcards is renamed to Unix-Wildcards if searching for file and/or folder names is enabled. Operators and the options Ignore Umlauts and Fuzzy are not available in this mode and wildcards are applied to whole names, not to words. Therefore queries like 'NS*.h', '*.plist' or '[0-9]*.pdf' work again.
Improved: Phrases of Boolean+Wildcards can now contain simple asterisk wildcards, e.g. "word1 * word2". This is similar to the BEFORE operator but more precise.
Improved: Kind column can be resized and is wider by default
Improved: Adding to DEVONthink Pro (Office) uses services internally so that the group selector (if enabled) is no longer displayed for each file/folder. Requires DEVONthink Pro (Office) 2.0.4 or later. Version 2.0.9(or later) recommended.
Improved: Updating of Open With menu is up to 30 times faster.
Fixed: Possible memory leak.
Removed: DEVONthink Pro item from default toolbar.
Removed: Obsolete code for Mac OS X 10.4.
[Version 4.7.1]

I was intrigued by the comments about a version 2 and decided to look into this. Nocturne is open source and development progresses now on Google code:
http://code.google.com/p/blacktree-nocturne/

That's why the Blacktree site hasn't been updated.

That looked valid enough for me to try the new version. It now has options to dim the menu bar. I like it ;-)
[Version 1.0.4]

This tool at version 1.0 ignores meta data. You must not rely on it, because "copies" can therefore consist of damaged files and lost data in general.
