Web Site Maestro is an extraordinary piece of software that does an excellent job of optimizing code and images to make sites load NOTICEABLY faster. The synchronize feature is probably my favorite--just like it sounds, it will look at both the local copy of the site AND the copy on the server and make sure that they are identical--deleting old files from the server and updating it with new ones. After using WSM for so long, I forget what an incredible feature this is, and it truly saves incalculable time. It also supports multiple websites, so I can determine the FTP settings for each website's server (along with how much I want images optimized, what files to exclude from syncing-for instance, if I have folders on the server that are not actually part of my website, like a folder with music files in it, I can tell WSM to ignore it and it won't delete the folder when it syncs-, etc), and WSM will remember all the login data and seamlessly optimize and upload each site.

But I'm not only going to write a review about this piece of software; I'm going to write one about its developer. Ton Brand is a true genius. Whenever I have a problem, I shoot him an email, and within HOURS I get a response with the solution. Not only that, but if there's a feature I want/need, he literally writes that feature into the software and releases it as a new version. Like, the release notes for 2 or 3 updates have literally only included those features that I requested--within DAYS of requesting them. I mean, I truly don't know how costumer support can get any better than that. Ton is also a great, friendly guy, and it's been a pleasure getting to know him through my support emails (when does that ever happen?!). Keep up the unbelievable work, Ton!
