Just tried this and it is slick. Simple interface and, as many here have commented, it just works. Seems fast too. A wonderfully written and executed piece of software. Worth every penny.

I downloaded the trial to give it a try. I cannot get a resulting video from a website that uses Silverlight. Jaksta appears to be working, downloads hundreds of small streams in the activity window, reports "Complete" when it is done processing. However no video appears in iTunes or in the "Converted" folder. Doing a search of the hard drive shows no completed video anywhere. Configuration: Mac Mini Mid 2010, Safari and Firefox, 8GB ram, Mountain Lion.

Wow, a Jaksta Ninja!! Well I try to avoid getting into a dispute with someone on the net cause Its like they say "If you get into an argument with someone on the net, and you win, your still retarded!" ....however, their advertising claimed, at the time I wrote this review 7 Months ago,....that you could download ANY video from the net. After wasting my time and finding out this wasn't true, I visited their discussion forums and many people were disappointed to find out that they could not download ANY video from the net, as their advertising had claimed. So I gave them 1 star for them claiming that there software could do something that it cannot do (what part of ANY could be misunderstood?) Now, I see on their web site, they have stated the actual stream formats that it handles, and the word ANY cannot be found anywhere... so there is no misunderstanding. BTW, I have no interest in downloading or subscribing to 'Netflix'.

Oh Really? Ok. So your a special olympics, techie kinda guy, out trolling the web to flame people on a fine Tuesday evening. I couldn't imagine spending my time that way, but to each his own. Real good there. Hope it works out for ya. Thanks for playing....good luck with that. There's lots of fertile ground on the web for sociopaths, so you have your work cut out for you. Knock yourself out!

Hey Ashes, So.. Verbal Abuse much? I hope you don't have a family, poor folks. Nah, your a** don't have a family. Was still on the site here having just written another review and noticed your 'response'.
SO, quick question....just what part of "ANY" do you not understand? Do you have a comprehension problem? ANY means "all inclusive". I would submit that my 1 star rating caused Jaksta to remove the word "ANY" from their description of what their software was capable of. If it accomplished that then no other buyers would be mislead and my 1 star justified. I am glad to see they changed their description and removed the word ANY. SO, what part of "ANY" do you not understand?

Ah, had to switch to your other trolling ID, eh? Cause there really is no part of 'ANY VIDEO' that can be misunderstood.

I absolutely love this program. As a network designer, consultant, technician, support provider, etc, I have to do a lot of research every week to keep on top of things. This is a mountain of information to manage. I used to have text edit documents all over my hard drive and I used spotlight frequently to locate these. I've tried organizing them into folders. I couldn't always remember the names or where the docs I needed were located, so it was a hit and miss system. Enter DevonThink Pro. This thing has organized everything! I am so glad I found this tool. I frequently have 3 browsers open at once with a number of tabs on each. Now I have a central repository for all bookmarks and they are organized by topic in groups. I can't praise this software enough. It wasn't easy at first. I found I was facing a dashboard in DevonThink that I just couldn't comprehend. It took me a while to understand the program. That would be one of my only minuses about DTPro. It seems like there is a lack of information about how to use the program Please enlighten me if I have missed this somewhere. I think you almost have to discover it for yourself and customize it to meet your needs. I am considering upgrading to the Office version. I should have done it when I got the program as it was only $50 to do so last Nov, now it has gone up to $70. I don't really need the OCR, but I could probably use the email archive feature since I have emails going back 10 - 12 years. I just haven't looked into it enough.
My stability rating should read 4 stars, it is stuck on 3.5. The program sometimes crashes on me. I haven't looked into possible causes or resolutions yet. At any rate, I could on and on, but I think this is probably enough for 1 post. If you have a mountain of information that you need to organize, then get DevonThink. Heck they will extend the trial version and you can wind up trying this thing for 6 months before you buy if you want to. I will add that Support has been snappy also.

Quick update: It is my value rating that was stuck on 3.5, not the stability. Value should be 5 stars since this program has become invaluable to me. I also believe I hit 5 stars on Features, as well. I apologize for any confusion.

I think Speed Download is great. I visit several networks and download a ton of files. Just the ability to organize my downloads in one central repository alone is worth the price. Also the downloads are faster - and this app fixed a problem I have always had with very slow file transfers to and from my iDisk. I can use my iDisk now.
Highly recommend to everyone!
