I've one of those bondi-blue USB Que! drives and been looking for a way to use it again ever since OS X.
Note: When this bit of software is opened and the installer begins to run, a window comes up announcing that this driver is for OS X versions 10.1.1, 10.1.2, and 10.1.3 .
After trying the driver with every single version of OS X, I found it does indeed work with 10.1.1 through 10.1.5 only. This is with iTunes; I don't believe there is a version of Toast that works with 10.1.x . If you want to try this driver with any version of OS X other then version 1, you will probably be foiled.
The Que! drive remains balky and slow, but the arrangement is ok for a secondary system. If you are using this as a primary burning system, forget it, its too slow and buggy, and it makes you use an early sub-jaguar version of OS X. Finally, I do agree its best to plug the CD writer directly into the computer for "best" performance. This was a bugger to figure out, but the experience was enlightening. Better get a new burner before firewire 400 becomes obsolete, too!
[Version 1.3]
