QuickSilver is a must for me at home and at work. It has increased my efficiency radically and makes for a 'must have' in my book.

Quicksilver will hereafter be referred to as QS.

QS is very expandable. There are plugins for a number of applications. From email plugins and terminal plugins to note taking, scheduling and even interaction with other devices. I give QS a 5 for features.

Ease of use... QS is easy to use, but as it uses text input some users may find it may take a little time getting used to. There are plenty of how-tos available online however and it's still intuitive and easy to get the hang of. A four on ease of use.

Value... QS is free. And it has made my day extremely much more efficient. 5. Donate if you can, this is an awesome piece of software!

QS by itself is very very stable. I have encountered some issues with a bluetooth plugin still in beta. But these issues are few and far between.
I would give QS a five for stability, and the bluetooth plugin a three or a two. As the plugin is beta however - and not installed as default - I will stick to giving QS a five for stability.

I have used CrystallBall DMing for a while now, and I must say I like it. It has loads of features while remaining easy to use. It has most of the features I would want. It has easy character generation, and you can make your own races (or input them from the D&D manuals) with ease.

The combat manager is nearly perfect, but it is also what I have a little problem with; I cannot seem to be able to make creatures do skill checks in it. Also, there is no map for visualization of the combat. A very simple map with very simple graphics could make it easier for me as a DM as I/we have never (and will never) use(d) miniatures. This is what keeps the features from getting a five, and lands on a 4. And I feel the different skill checks are so important they, too, cause the main rating to drop.
What's more on features, XP division works perfectly, but only if your party is all in one level. If there is level differences you need to calculate manually. Not an issue for me and my players, so as far as I am concerned it does not matter.

Graphics and sound get a 5. They are not beautiful, but simple and the simplicity serves the application's function as a DM tool, allowing the DM to focus on the game at hand instead of aesthetical details. Nice.

Stability, 5. It has never given me any problem. Neither on my old Powerbook, nor on my new intel-based one.

Playability 5. It is easy to use yet holds powerful features and loads of potential in the hands of an apt DM.

All in all, this is _THE_ best DM tool I have tried. I love it and warmly recommend it. It is well worth the asking price.
