Apple's serious security flaw in its SSL/TLS connections has now been patched in 10.9.2.,news-18355.html

I'm using XBMC from version 10 (I think it's was the first version to introduce "video hardware acceleration" on Mac), I've used earlier versions also but not frequently.
Currently I'm XBMC 12.0 beta2 as my default player for HD videos (particularly for "mkv" files) because by my opinion it delivers the best performance on the Mac.
Congratulations to the XBMC team for making this great product.

I can't wait for version 6, since v5.1.X I feel that the browser has become noticeably slower and buggy (for example v5.1.3 on my macbook pro developed a new bug on the Downloads windows the "magnifying glass" button that shold show the file in Finder no longer works).
Never the less its still my choose for browsing and by my experience its gives the best performance (maybe Chrome is a bit faster, but a resource hog) and efficiency.

Thanks thats good news I tried the game under cyder but the CPU was to high the controls are messy to setup and I think the graphics should be better if its a native app.
Nice game by the way I'm eager to play it.

Best BT client for mac, and among the best on all unix like platforms (acording to my taste).
But there is an essential feature missing!
or at least it needs a serious modification.
I'm talking about the "memory caching" feature, it uses the HDD very frequently when downloading something with a fast internet conn. downloading with 2.3MB/s the HDD is constantly used affecting the performance of the whole system.
uTorrent doesn't behave like that on the same machine and internet conn. so I'm using it at the moment.

Seems better then earlier snappier and the "memory leaking" bug also seems to be fixed, I personally recommend it.
[Version 5.1.2]

Yes best it is, but still needs some enhancements like improving the disk caching to use the disk a little less frequently like uTorrent for an example, maybe even an option to select the chunk size for different configurations. And also another thing that bugs me a lot, wen a torrent contains many files and I want to download just some of them other "unwanted" files are downloaded as well, I don't have this experience with other clients

Yes, it's a separete project from vlc but like vlc it's slowly developed for the mac platform.
Great media player bi the way and continuously getting better with lots of features

I read that a patch exists for vlc to enable hardware acceleration on osx, it's just the dev team of vlc for mac lacks of developers to implement this feature
