Believe me when I say this:

Don't buy this!

I bought this from Steam on the last summer sale and was certain that it would work on my iMac because it is beyond the minimum requirements on Steam. Well, it launches and plays, but barely. Seriously, most of the time I had about 5fps on the lowest settings. And as you can see it's still version 1.0.0 so nothing has changed.

Just saying and warning anyone who wants to buy it. But go ahead and try it if you're feeling lucky.

Well, for one thing you have Core i7 and I have 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. And you have HD 4850 512MB and I have HD 4670 256MB. My iMac is also late 2009 model, just 21,5" iMac 10,1.

The biggest difference I believe is the processor. Surprised to see how big of a difference that makes.

But still, I'm the worst case scenario where my specs met the requirements but it still didn't work as it should. (It seems they have changed the requirements quite a bit since I bought the game)

So just be very sure your specs meet the current requirements before throwing your money to Ubisoft. And if you're on OS X Lion, don't even bother, it's not supported.

Well yes, the only spec that is below the minimum is the graphics card RAM.

I'm not going to argue about my specs anymore, I guess this game appearing here just brought back the disappointment I had when I bought this game, even on very low price. That's all.

And yes, overall almost any game works better on Lion even at my end, but in Steam it reads that OS X 10.7 Lion is not supported for this game.

As crappy as Steam is on OS X it's not the main issue, or an issue at all. Only thing is that this game is cheaper on the App Store.

And about the launcher; yes it does use the launcher, Steam is only for buying and downloading the game.

Sorry for this btw, I had no meaning to start an argue with anyone, but I guess my first post deserved it :P
