All of my rips now crash when I play with VLC, but they seem to play okay with Apple's DVD Player. When I rip with Mac DVDRipper Pro they play flawlessly on VLC. This didn't used to happen. I'm using version 1.6.1.

Also, this isn't the first time I've had stability / quality issues with RipIt. It's too bad because I really like its minimalist interface.

Please add a toggle so it doesn't remain in the menu bar. I have too many menu bar icons already! Other than that, it's great.

Overall, it does what it says. My main complaint is the frequent CPU spikes every 15 seconds to ~10% of my CPU (15" unibody MBP 2008 2.4 GHz). This is when I have "Autostop apps only when running on battery" enabled, and am connected to power.

My guess is the app is checking CPU statistics. How being able to set "Update CPU statistics" to "never"? I monitor my own CPU with another tool.

Great utility, especially for free. Only issue I have is that once in a while the utility will hang and I'll have to force quit it. I'm on OS X 10.6.5, atMonitor 2.1.5.

Getting tired of the random freezes, so I uninstalled atMonitor. It doesn't look like the developer is making any updates on this app.

Great little app to improve your workflow, especially if you prefer to use the keyboard. The nice thing about the demo is that it's fully functional (it only adds a nag screen). But now I've paid for it. :)

The only thing it's missing that I wish it had is the ability to *separately* center a window vs. center and resize. Currently you can only do one or the other. So I end up using a separate utility to center a window only.

There seems to be an issue with version 1.0.9, where AppTamer intermittently takes 100% of the CPU for around 5-10 seconds at a time. I'd recommend not using this version until this issue is resolved. I've already submitted feedback to the developer.

RipIt 1.5 has a memory leak which cases it to bloat to 3+ GB of real memory while ripping a DVD. The same DVD with RipIt 1.4.4 completes without issues. I'd recommend not upgrading until this bug is fixed (slowed my machine with 6 GB RAM to a crawl). I've submitted a bug report to the developer.
