[Version 2.12]

Love the app and don't know how to live without it when I'm on another computer that doesn't have it. My only problem with it is the price. I get the guy has to make a living, but I got it on sale for around half the normal price. Not saying people still wouldn't complain, but it would help. The only other thing I don't like is that Apple still has not added some of these features themselves. Seems pretty straightforward, but in the latest version (Mountain Lion) it almost seems like they took a step backward. Good for this dev, not for the rest of us. If anyone does have a problem, simply contact him and he will usually try to fix the problem. Posting here doesn't help unless he constantly checks it for just such comments. The beta has some known bugs, but with the latest 4.5b10 update it's getting there.

Update to my previous comment (that was voted down), I am able to get it working now with this latest version. Was having activation issues before that didn't seem to be fixed when I first upgraded to 3.2, but I sent their support an e-mail about it and this time got a response almost immediately. New s/n works fine, I can stop Drive Pulse now (despite the responses, I still couldn't before... I knew how to do, it just wouldn't turn off), and no more crashing. Still not perfect, but works much better, just like it's predecessor.

Love the app. Almost as good as IrfanView on the PC, and free as well. Small problem in Mountain Lion though. When I open an image, with this set as the default app to open images, it brings up the Open window as if you were just opening the app by itself. Never used to do that. Tried uninstalling in AppDelete and reinstalling, but it's still doing the same thing. Weird.

Absolutely essential Mac utility to automatically run maintenance, clean the system, and make a few system changes to enable some things that are hidden or disabled by default. And it's FREE! Kind of annoying you need a password now, but I just use my root login.

Weird thing I noticed when I brought it up and hit the spacebar by accident though. In Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion a picture of a motorcycle comes up and you can hear it revving. Have to close the app or wait for it to finish, closing the pic doesn't stop it. In Lion it says RIP Eva and plays some sad music, can kinda guess what happened. :(

Drivepulse sits there in your menubar and WILL NOT GO AWAY! Nothing I've tried gets it to, short of uninstalling. Which caused a crash, then a kp. Having to manually remove pieces left behind, deleting never to install again. Never got a chance to try out the defragging, but from what I've read, probably better off. Going back to TechTool, which seems to stink less.

Same problems as others with Snow Leopard and Windows XP, FAT32 or NTFS. Can't get it to restore to my 2.33GHz MacBook Pro's new hard drive. Weird, because it worked fine on my similarly configured Mac Pro. Dev says he's trying to fix it, but unable to replicate issue. Here's hoping they can get it fixed.

Too bad it doesn't work with Twisted Melon's Matra TR1 receiver. Been looking for a way to get rid of it's Mira software on my Mac Pro that never seems to work right and is crippled under Snow Leopard ($15 for nothing). I'll try it on my MacBook Pro though with it's built in IR.
