DarkAdapted 3.0.1 Pro is a recent update from AquilaDigital. I use the Macintosh version exclusively in my telescope observatory to help maintain my night vision while observing. The ease by which i can set my monitor screen to different intensities of red helps me use various programs ((such as “Where is M13”) when i host star parties and someone wants to know where a particular object is in the Milky Way relative to the Earth. Several programs do not come have the option of displaying a night adapted window, and so having a program which allows you to change the monitor display characteristics on the fly is extremely useful. It comes preset with various intensities of red or green, but a simple slider interface allows you to modify the monitor color quality and intensity to any value you want Another plus is that it comes with concise well written documentation which makes learning how to use it a breeze. I can say this is money well spent; it is the cat's meow!
