They still have NOT fixed the wifi proxy authentication issue. We have an authenticated proxy a work and you put your log/pass in and BOOM it forgets it.

So to stop myself from being bugged hundreds of times day as the background apps want access I am back to turning wifi off at work and relying on the 4G network.

I had hoped 7.1 would fix this... probably have to wait now until October for IOS 8

Diskwarrior has been a cornerstone of my utilities since version ONE, however the latest version 4.4 running under 10.8 regularly hangs "Scanning for disks.." and for the first time ever has damaged some file systems.

I am now getting it mount a virtual drive then use another utility like carbon copy cloner to make a backup of it to a disk image just incase it create damage , I NEVER had to do this previously.

I have run parallels since version 1 and I now own 3 copies of version 7 personally.
I have installed versions 3-7 on over 30 Macs at work, however with ONE machine is constantly crashes(6-8 times a day running only Outllook, the Mac version is a piece of utter CRAP in comparison). I have had zero response from parallels. Bought a bundle with VMware in the bundle and installed that and all is stable.
I had tried reinstall of Parallels
I had installed all updates
Version 6 was stable but the person was upgraded to a new machine running OSX 10.7 so the move to Parallels 7 was inevitable.

Update broke the App store on my iPad. Installed applications show "Get" rather than installed (Even after you Get them again). In the search screen of the App Store it would say 1-12 of 71 but would NOT scroll to show any other screens.

Would not work until I'd given it permission to install other files which I was NOT going to do. The ability to recover lost files should NOT demand the installation of another "protection" application.
Simply deleted the application.

Actually I have been using File Salvage for a few years and have recovered files from a wide range of media with great success. File Salvage does NOT require the installation of a "protection" application. Prior to that I had used Nortons. I just had an interesting situation recovering an NTFS disk with some files being over 6GB in size and was looking at various options to see if they would works a faster.

I use a server based backup at home, so I can recover all my files even if my laptop is stolen. The only time I need a recovery tool is on someone elses computer where they are stupid enough NOT to have a backup, on flash drives, on SD cards from cameras etc. A "protection" app/extension does nothing for me.
