This is & has been a great utility, but ever since I installed the 3.1.4 update, I no longer get file icons on my jpegs when I use the app to resize them for web posting. I am running Mac OS X 10.7.4.

I've emailed the support folks, so hopefully they have some suggestions (maybe I can downgrade for now if I can find the older version).

FYI - using Time Machine to go back to 3.1.3 has fixed the issue for now. Hopefully the vendor can resolve the issue in a future release so I can go back to allowing updates.

The developer contacted me & said the feature had been removed to keep file sizes smaller & that the same result could be accomplished by enabling the Show icon preview in the Show View Options menu. I enabled that option in my EasyBatchPhoto target folder & life is good.

While ILM is really good at what it does, there is a serious unadvertised deficiency with regard to working on Referenced libraries (photos not inside the library). If you use ILM to copy data to a new iPhoto library, it is NOT capable of creating Referenced data.

So, if you have a Referenced iPhoto library & wish to split it up into smaller Referenced libraries, ILM will not do that for you. If you try to do it, the resulting libraries will actually be managed (photos inside the library). Their support has confirmed this behavior.

This trait ought to be documented in the app write up so that people who are considering getting it for use on Referenced libraries realize that the product will not do what they likely want. I believe that the demo mode will only work on 5 photos, so not really enough draw your attention to the design flaw unless you specifically open the new iPhoto library package & examine in carefully (which is not something most of us would think to do).

Just as a follow up, they have indicated that because the product won't do what I bought it for, they will issue a refund to my credit card.

Good customer service. If the app would have done what I wanted, I'd say it's a great app.
